The Montessori teacher is a guide or directress. The teacher gives lessons and directs the children toward activities that help them develop skills and gain knowledge.
The teacher is an observer whose goal is to intervene less and less as the children become more competent and capable in making their own choices.

Ms. Kim Lemmer-Asby,
Lead Teacher.
Ms. Kim holds a primary 3-6 credential from the American Montessori Society (AMS).
Ms. Kim has been a Montessori teacher for well over 24 years, first as a teaching assistant and
then as a lead teacher.
She is affectionately known by her former students and family as "Maria Montessori incarnate",
in part because of her adherence to the traditional teaching methods developed by Dr. Montessori.

Mrs. Laura Smyczek,
Lead Teacher.
Mrs. Smyczek received her Elementary (ages 6-12) AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) Diploma
from the Montessori Institute of Milwaukee in 1994, followed by her Primary (ages 3-6)
AMI Diploma from the Midwest Montessori Institute, in 2000.
She taught in a Lower Elementary class at Forest Bluff School in Lake Bluff, Illinois,
and during that time, she was featured in Paula Polk Lillard's book, Montessori Today,
and was invited to be a speaker at an AMI/USA National Conference on grace and courtesy.
She has lived in France and Italy and has studied and played the piano her entire life.
She also earned her B.A. in Art History from the University of Dallas.
She brings her love of art and music, and her appreciation of beauty, to all she does.

Mrs. Dee Bohlmann,
Assistant Teacher.
Mrs. Dee received her paraprofessional teacher training at the MECA-Seton Center in Illinois.
She holds an Early Childhood I and II certification from Waukesha County Technical College.
Mrs. Dee has been an assistant teacher for ten years.
Mrs. Dee resides in Waukesha her son, who received a Montessori pre-school education.

Mrs. Ashwini Manjul,
Assistant Teacher.
Mrs. Manjul completed the Paraprofessional training from MECA-Seton in Illinois.
She has Toddlers and Early Childhood EC I and EC II certification.
Mrs. Manjul is a Graphic Artist and has extensive teaching experience for 6 years.
She was working at the Goddard School before joining Lake Country Montessori.
Her son, Aditya, received his pre-school education at Lake Country Montessori School.
